He always try to build his child’s character or mentality in a preferred way which will made his child more adaptable in any difficult situations.
How can you be a good father? My list of tips discussed bellow:
1. Protect Your Child:
A good father is a good protector. Remember ‘Safety First’. There are many ways you need to do this. Teach them good safety habits which will save them from many unexpected situation. Financial protection is also very important for your child. So, try to have a life insurance or an emergency fund as well.

3. Respect Your Wife:
How you treat their mother affects their self-esteem, and the way they will treat themselves and women when they grow up. Be kind and respectful and loving of their mother. Don’t contradict their mother in front of them, don’t fight with her in front of them, and most definitely don’t ever abuse her. Help her in different stages of her work; it may be in or outside of your family.
4. Be Good to You:
You need to take care of yourself, when you are a dad. Give yourself some alone time to take care of your health. If you have a habit of smoking or drinking; please avoid these in front of your child. Eat healthy & take exercise regularly. Your child will also learn from your habit.
5. Make Time for Your Child:
Every man is busy in this critical economical situation of the country. But after that you have to make time for your child. It will help you to build a unique relationship. If you do not spend significant amounts of time with your children, they might conclude that you care more for other things, such as your job, your friends, or your hobbies, than you do for them.
6. Be a Good Communicator:
For every dad, good communication is vital. In order to communicate effectively with your children, you must be a careful listener without being judgmental. If you listen your children calmly, they will be more likely to share their precious thoughts and feelings with you. This will help you to know the inner feelings of your children.
7. Be Responsible:
Understand the immense responsibility you have on your shoulder as a father. Do not run away from it. Hold it and grow with it. It is time to get rid of your careless ways and realize that one more person depends on you now. Whatever you and your wife do, your child is the top priority. Think twice before taking rash decisions. You can share responsibilities with your wife.
8. Ensure Good Education:
Try to ensure good education and moral conduct for your child. Ensure that he gets the best schooling possible. Teach him through example how to respect people. The child, especially a son needs to learn to respect women. You can criticize your child when he does something wrong, but do so in private. Do not insult him to the point where he or she cannot come out of the guilt. Teach your child, that it’s okay to make mistakes, but do not repeat them. Think this will be helpful for him.
9. Encourage Curiosity:
Encourage curiosity and independent thinking of your child. Explain things to children as logically as possible. Do not reinforce false attitude. Encourage reading, thinking about the wonders of nature and playing sports.
10. Do Not Compare between Your Children:
Do not compare the abilities of your children and pit them against each other. Teach them the importance of sharing and respecting each other for what they are. Be fair with children and encourage bonding between them.
11. Don’t Burden Your Child:
Don’t Burden Your Child with your Own Unreasonable Expectations. This puts unjustified pressure on them. Encourage them to find themselves and be themselves which is more important.
12. Treat your child with respect:
“The best way to get respectful treatment from your child is to treat him respectfully,” Steinberg writes. “You should give your child the same courtesies you would give to anyone else. Speak to him politely. Respect his opinion. Pay attention when he is speaking to you. Treat him kindly. Children treat others the way their parents treat them. Your relationship with your child is the foundation for her relationships with others.”
Remember-
Unconditional love is the prime ingredient for being a good father.
Thanks.
